Barbara Childs, by Clock Tower, trained by C. P. Sowers; bred by Mrs. B. S. Campbell. WENT TO P0ST-6:16. OFF AT 6:16 EASTERN STANDARD TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. THIRD DIVISION moved up fast after the start to assume command, made the pace to the stretch under occasional urging, then gamely withstood a brisk drive to hold LONGHORN safe. LONGHORN, in hand to the final quarter, finished resolutely under punishment, but could not overtake the winner, although much the best of the others. ONE PLAY, away fast, raced prominently to the stretch, but faltered during the drive. BIG HERALDER saved ground throughout, but could not better his position when set down through the stretch. CLEANED tired after showing early speyi. NEDS CHOICE raced wide and was never dangerous. HI-CHROME was outrun. SUN BOUND disliked the fiavy track. HEXTON tired. FAST BREAK showed nothing. CRAIGS CREST was through early. MY JAM could not handle the heavy going and was eased when hopelessly beaten. Scratched 55796 Brahman, 114; 56598 Cass, 114; 5747? Vanslam, 115.
