R. B. Strassburger Comments On Chances of Worden II. LONDON, England, May 26 Reuters . Weighing the chances of his French-bred colt, Worden n., in the Epsom Derby, American owner, Ralph B. Strassburger, said if he traveled well from France he should be .a serious competitor. Strassburger added: "Wordens performance in the Two Thousand Guineas at Newmarket cannot be considered reliable. He drew number one on the rail and having previously run only once on the right hand bend be began to hang to the right. Jockey Lollieroi had trouble keeping him in the middle of the course. Worden subsequently was prominent in the Prix Hpcquart at Longchamp and his second to Auriban was no fluke." H. Peacock, trainer of Fiery Torch, who is owned by the American, Robert S. Clark, said: "He is fit and I expect him, to run a good race." The consensus of opinion on the race is that there is nothing really outstanding in the French or English three-year-olds and that anything can win it, though the French challenge is particularly strong.
