1 Eleven Sprinters Meet In Top Beulah Offering Moose Bet, Cousin Betty and Par Excellence Seeking Honors By HUGH J. McGUIRE Staff Correspondent BEULAH PARK, Grove City, Ohio, May 26. A sprint of six furlongs under claiming conditions is given top billing on the Tuesday card here. The entrants carry claiming tags of ,500 and, every horse of the 11 in the contest has shown evidence of fitness in recent races over this course. One of these is W. G. Alexanders Moose Bet, who overcame a little trouble in his most recent venture to finish a smashing second in a six-furlong test back of the outsider Man o Battle and before seven rivals in the same price range that he meets tomorrow. Given a good racing fortune and running kindly, he should give, a good account of himself here. W. Alexanders Cousin Betty is on the eligible list but if she moves into the race she could prove troublesome" on the strength of her winning venture in which she turned back, aniong others, F. J. Wilsons Alapay, who is named to oppose her again here and who has a creditable local record in his own right. Mrs. W. J. Wiles is represented by Dream Moon, who was somewhat of a disappointment in his last trip, but who rates serious consideration on that previous second in good company. Par Excellence, from the stable of W. Lewis, has been a consistent sort locally, while George McFarlands Optional compels recognition on his recent good second. C. H. Youngs Jeanne Belle and Mubbo, from the stable of Frissie and Jones, were both winners of their latest engagements here but are stepping up a little In quality of competition. Not overmatched is A. B. Corbins Mahamed, who was third to the second of Moose Bet in their recent engagement. R. Powells Ocoya was fourth in the same race. The field in the head-liner is completed by Monte Prestons Eagle Lady, who has been racing against stiffer competition than she is asked to meet here and she may find these rivals within her limitations. Three of the contests on the eight race . card are to be decided at one mile or farther and limit fields are found in all races except the six furlongs third race, which is confined to three-year-olds and has eight entrants.
