Officials for Arlington Meeting Approved by Racing Board Officials who will serve at "the Arlington Park 36-day meeting opening on June 16 were approved by the Illinois Racing Board yesterday. S. li. James "will be the steward representing the board at the Northwest Side track, while the associate stewards appointed are Charles J. Gormley, Keene Daingerfield, Teddy Cox and Aidan Roark. Since a new Illinois Racing Board rule this year permits only three stewards to have voting power in making decisions and one of these must be the state steward, the Arlington Jockey Club at a later date will notify" the board as to which two of the four will be vested with that power. Ivan Thomas is serving his first season as racing secretary and" handicapper, and the assistant racing secretary will be William Milner. Frederic Craftpn and Vasco Parke have been named placing judges, while William A. Reagan and Crafton will serve as paddock judges. Reagen also will be a patrol judge. Roy "Boots" Dickerson again will dispatch the fields,, while William Cunningham will time the races. James W. Francis, Jr., is clerk of the scales, and Dr. M. F. I Kent, state veterinarian.
