- * a - e e e n Pirates Sign High School Graduate to One-Year Pact PITTSBURGH, Pa., June 20 UP.— The Pittsburgh Pirate baseball club today an- " | nounced the signing of Willard Thomas Cayavek, an outfielder just out of high i school. Cayavek, who will be 18 years old on i June 27, was given a one-year contract and 1 will report to the Batavia, N. Y., Class D. . Pony League club on Monday. His brother William- is in his third year with the Pirate farm organization. He I started in 1950 with Butler, Pa., and is now r playing with Quebec in the Provincial I League. Both attended Worthington High School, , in Worthington, Pa. Bill was graduated in i 1950 and Willard, who prefers to be called i Tom, was graduated this month.
