DEALER, in hand while racing within striking distance of MYRMIDON to the stretch, responded to brisk urging during the drive and, after taking command near the finish, lasted to hold a short advantage. MYRMIDON went to the front early, gave way to DEALER during the drive, then came again under punishment and just missed. WAR BOOTY saved ground throughout, but tired during the stretch run. NOSTALGIC failed to respond when set down for the drive. ANGLE BAR could not keep up. RICHAVOO raced wide. RESORT began slowly. JACROSS showed nothing. TURBAN, in hand while saving ground to the stretch, remained next to the inner rail for the drive and, closing strongly, disposed of the leaders during the last sixteenth. MATTIE GIRL went to the. front at once, made the pace to the stretch, then drifted out, forcing TASK wide, came again when straight for the drive, but was unable td hold the winner. DOLLYS ROCKET, outrun to the last three-eighths mile, finished fast in the middle of the track. TASK, forwardly placed from the start, was forced to the outside at the stretch turn by MATTIE GIRL, then weakened during the last eighth mile. BOLD KING was outrun. LOCK OUT could not threaten the leaders. HI BOB was never dangerous. PLATFORM was through early. AIM raced prominently to the stretch, then quit. Scratched— 60323 Homing Pigeon, 107.
