Stars-Stripes, Hyde Park Nominations Close Today ARLINGTON PARK, Arlington Heights, HI., June 20. — Racing secretary Ivan Thomas reminded horsemen that entries for the 5,000 Stars and Stripes Handicap on the turf and the 0,000 Hyde Park Stakes for two-year-olds close tomorrow, Saturday. Both events are scheduled for the featured July 4th at Arlington Park. The Stars and Stripes is a mile and an eighth run for three -year-olds and upward and has become the traditional Fourth of July headliner in summer racing. The Hyde Park is scheduled at five and one-half furlongs.
