UNATTACHED sprinted clear and was steadied, rallied when roused through the stretch and held sway. BUNNY HUG, within striking distance from the start, was getting to the winner. BLENWICK was always prominent and fought it out gamely. LADY ADVOCATE, outrun early and forced to take the overland course, closed full of run. RAY RAIDER made up ground. RUSTY weakened slightly. The latter was not rushed early, raced wide while joining the leader, then was not good enough. THE MINOR closed well from the outside to outfinish the others. YAMA saved ground while prominent and faltered. KNIGHTS REWARD was outrun. JEANNIE C. set the pace and quit badly. Overweight— Yama, 1 pound. THE MAST was alowed to lag during the first mile,- rallied and fenced well after a mile and a half, assumed command and won easily. JAM, unhurried early, stumbled badly while crossing the main track the first time, unproved his position gradually arid out-finished the others. CROONING WIND was with the pace after a mile, jumped rather poorly several times and lacked a late bid while finishing in a dead-heat with NAVY GUN. The latter was unable to reach serious contention, but closed well. OEDIPUS was in contention for a mile and a half and weakened. PALAJA landed badly at the seventh jump. GENANCOKE set the pace for much of the distance and faltered. MONKEY WRENCH seemed outclassed. Scratched— 60140 American Way, 140. Overweight— Monkey Wrench, 5 pounds. BLENMINT failed to menace the top pair while closing well. LOCKED IN raced evenly. STOP AND LOOK weakened. PERMAME set the pace along the backstretch and quit badly. ARABITA quit to a walk. AT FORTY WAS QUITE SORE GOING POSTWARD AND WAS ORDERED WITHDRAWN. ALL MONEY WAS REFUNDED.
