POWER PLANT was a sharp factor from the start, took a clear lead in the stretch and won fully extended. MARCH BROWN was with the first flight from the start and turned in a good effort. CABLE BUG was taken up when blocked going into the turn, forced his way up between horses and closed resolutely. APPEARANCE saved ground and had no excuse. RED COMET was forced to race slightly wide and weakened in the drive. CHAMPS DREAM took up when bearing out on the turn. IM IN TROUBLE had good speed early and quit. STRAIGHT ARGO established a commanding lead soon after the start and bolted to the outside rail shortly after entering the turn. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. SUN ROAMER saved ground while reserved, was alowed to swing wide leaving the final turn when making his bid, disposed of the leaders and held ADARO safe under urging. The latter trailed for six furlongs, came through on the inside to be closest to the pace and held on stubbornly until the wire. DAME MANGONEO went through on the rail along the backstretch to assume command and had nothing left for the drive. DRESSY LADY moved up to be a sharp factor leaving the final turn and tired. RINGG0LDIAN, away sluggishly, was much used to be on nearly even terms for command and quit. LOVE TOWN went well for a half mile and quit. LE FAUNE was a sharp factor while saving ground, but was no match for the winner and clearly best of the others. LOW FLYER went through on the inside to threaten boldly and weakened. FORBIDDEN C showed a tendency to bear out on the turns. EXPIATOR was through early. FLAG HO was in a good position when he fell at the sixth hurdle. RE-SHUFFLE was on the outside while alternating for command, drew clear in the stretch, drifted out in the final furlong and lasted over PALOS. The latter was on the rail while dueling for command, could not match strides in the stretch, but made up ground when the winner drifted out- and shortened stride in the late stages. BOOKWORM lacked speed, went up between horses while gaining best stride and closed resolutely. SHAMROCK saved ground and had no excuse. JINGLER had speed and tired. PUTNEY was slow to start and caught tired horses. ASHLAND tired, as did FLYING JET. ELIXIR, between horses the opening half mile while in close attendance of the pace, engaged SAGITTARIUS in the stretch and was drawing clear at the end. The latter went into a clear lead after a furlong, continued gamely when challenged and faltered in the concluding strides. MIGHTY QUEST was a sharp factor on the inside throughout and, while perhaps lacking room until the stretch, did not respond for the fina1 furlong. DANNY C, steadied along early while on the inside, came out when ready for the drive and wore down BAY HASH in the final stride. The latter was with the leaders from the start, took command in the stretch and just failed. SUNNY FOX went through on the rail to be a sharp contender and lacked a closing rally. TOP STEP, outrun in the opening half mile, swung wide leaving the turn and closed with good courage. KNIGHT ALERT displayed speed and tired. DR. REES had no excuse. BR00KRIDGE caught tired horses. ROSEBOROUGH, allowed to settle until midway of the final turn, moved up stoutly when called upon and gradually drew clear in the drive. PIBROCH, with the first flight from the start, took command on the final turn and held on well, but was not good enough. FANCY FLYER, outrun early, was forced wide entering the stretch. FREEDOM WINS trailed for six furlongs, then went between horses with a belated bid. FLYING MANE had no excuse. ELLEN DEAS and BLUE ROXY tired after dueling for command early. PROPS quit.
