Won driving; second and third the same. YOU AND ME was roused after three furlongs, sent to the extreme outside and responded stoutly to outfinish PRINCELING. The latter came between horses to get close to the pace, but was not good enough. ERIGERON forced the pace, taking command entering the stretch and weakened. WAR STOCK made up ground with a late rush. BROWNSKIN showed speed for a half mile and quit. GOOD EGG was used up forcing the pace. GAY was unable to reach the leaders and weakened in the late stages. CORSARIO II., slow to start, moved around horses leaving the backstretch, continued to gain while going wide entering the stretch and was along to catch the leader inside the final sixteenth. CRACKICE took the lead inside the final furlong, but was unable to stave off the winners bid. DOWN HEARTED was sent into a long lead after a half mile, shortened stride and tired badly. LORD LOUIS was hustled into an early lead, remained within striking distance of the leader after giving way, but lacked a late rally. MASTER BRIAN went evenly. STEP WELL had no mishap. ROSES ACE, unhurried while improving position steadily, swung wide entering the stretch, responded readily when roused and drew clear near the end. LADEDA opened a clear lead at once, increased the margin after three furlongs, bufwas not good enough. MAHAT forced the pace and held on gamely. JOHN J. JR., never far off the pace, moved to the inside in the stretch, but was unable to menace. DADSE DEGREE went evenly. GOOD HOST was closing well at the end. ROSEMERE ZOE had no mishap. LEFTY JIM assumed command at once, increased margin on the final turn and withstood a sustained stretch drive from LIBERTY ANDY. The latter bullied his way between horses to engage the leader and was pressing at the end. EMERALD BELLE rallied mildly in the closing stages. GEE WHIZ, never far off the pace, was unable to make up ground through the stretch. DASH FOR CASH went evenly. MARINE CHARGER was unable to keep up. ANNAR was outrun. Liberty Andy claimed by Mrs. E. BILLY BOWLEGS improved position gradually, swung to the outside for the drive and was along to take command inside the final sixteenth. BERNIE MOOSE, outrun to the final furlong, closed strongly between horses. ALPHARA worked his way up on the outside, closed with a rush, but was not good enough. CAMBETTA was taken off the pace and swung to the outside, moved readily when roused to get the lead, then faltered. LITTLE HARP slipped through along the inside to challenge and flattened out. PRINCE RANSOM set a rapid pace and had nothing left. LADY ALEXANDRA was outrun. DANNAS PENSIVE showed speed for a half mile and quit. Scratched— 61201 High Head, 109. JONES BROOK, under steadying restraint close to the pace, was sent up on the outside entering the stretch, assumed command and drew clear under pressure. TOP BRASS, reserved until the final quarter mile, closed resolutely and was challenging in the late stages. CLASSY CHANCE, taken back off the pace and steadied for the first half mile, worked his way up on the outside when set down, lost valuable ground and was unable to menace. ANGEL FOOD had no mishap. CELLINI, kept within striking distance of the pace, saved ground when challenging, but was not good enough. GOYONDER dropped far off the pace and was never a serious factor when roused. FLARES raced in close attendance of the leader for a half mile, moved into command when roused, drew clear and bore out badly in the stretch brushing BILTRITE as the latter challenged, then broke clear and drew out and pulled up lame. BILTRITE, kept within striking distance of the pace under light restraint, moved to the leader with a rush, gained command when bothered, then was unable to get going again near the end. BRUSH MOUTH closed with a late rush on the extreme outside. SIR WHITE saved ground, but was unable to menace. SPACE SHIP had no mishap. BEMMY flattened out. SNEAK, a distant trailed on the first turn, lacked a rally. COMEALLYE was never prominent. HELANEIUS quit. RAPT was unable to keep up.
