Speedy Vadapur Starts At River Downs Today Brent Homebred Ran Five Furlongs In :59 in Recent Ten-Length Win By R. E. HLRLEY Staff Correspondent RIVER DOWNS. California, Ohio, June 24. — Gentle breezes and a drying sun have returned the racing strip to its best condition and the promise of continued fair weather for Cincinnati racing fans assures a big following for the nine-race tomorrow program. Two-year-olds, especially N. W. Brents home-bred Vadapur, head the card in the featured Hotel Sinton Purse at the five-furlong distance, the usual testing ground for two-year-olds. Eight youngsters, including two couplings, have been named to face Vadapur, who established the fastest time for the distance on the second day of the meeting when she ■tepped five furlongs in :59 flat, while winning by 10 open lengths.
