VIS PRIDE, away fast, dropped back after the start and was steadied to the stretch, then responded to punishment when taken to the outside for the drive and disposed of the leaders in the last sixteenth. FLARES DURBAR, a keen factor from the beginning, raced PR:SSY BOY into defeat and entered the stretch with a clear lead, but could not withstand the top one. NEVER IN DOUBT raced prominently to the final furlong, then faltered. SMART EVE finished weU under urging. HERES ED could not keep up. FENTY 0 lacked early speed and raced wide. NEWARK PRIDE began slowly and never reached serious contention. PRISSY BOY engaged FtARES DURBAR for a half mile, then gave way POLAR BATTLE pulled up sore. MISTER MAC tired during the drive. BOLD BANDIT could not keep up after beginning alertly. THREE HIGH was never dangerous WINDSOR PARK gave a dull effort under weak handling. WAIT UP began sluggishly. PETES COMET failed to stay after displaying early speed. JOHNS BABY, rougheo entering the stretch, failed to recover. LIL FORST was never dangerous. GOLDEN PELT, under light restraint to the stretch, was sent to the miadle of the track for the drive and, finishing fast under urging, disposed of ZYBIE and won going away. ZYBIE assumed an early lead, made the pace until inside the stretch, but was unable to withstand the top one. CLEARBROOK faltered during the stretch run. SIR CLOWN had early speed. SIR ANHUT raced wide through the stretch. RED RIVER drifted out during the last three-eighths mile. DUCKLESS began poorly and was never a serious contender. FOCRTH RACE 5 FURLONGS. PRANDIUM, forwardly placed from the start, assumed command after disposing of JIM BRIER and then held on determinedly to withstand WILKS LOSS. The latter lacked early speed and drifted out nearing the stretch, then was sent to the inside for the drive and finished strongly, but could not reach the winner. JIM BRIER began fast, bore out near the stretch, but closed gamely when straightened for the drive. SPEEDY GOLD raced evenly and had no mishap. DR. ALEX lacked early speed. ROLL BAMA was never dangerous. DIXIE PRINCE was outrun TRICOPA began slowly. SIX THIRTY failed to stay after showing early speed. DANGEROUS DAN was through early. EVELYN L., a sharp factor from the start, reached the lead between calls nearing the stretch, drifted out with BYRONIC at the-turn and was unable to stay with the latter when set down in the drive. DUSTLIGHT could not better his position when set down through the stretch. DIAMOND LANE was outrun and raced wide I entering the stretch. DUKE BOSWELL tired after showing early speed. HONEY-KIST assumed the lead at once, made the pace until inside the stretch, but could not stay with the winner. DIXVILLE failed to respond when set down through the stretch. TIS JOE raced well to the last eighth, then weakened. CONTROVERSITY was outrun. PAK tired after showing early speed. RIGMAROLE began sluggishly and never entered serious contention.
