Carioca, Australias Glamor Horse, May Come to America SYDNEY, Australia, May 11.— The Sydney Cup winner, Carioca, Australias glamor horse at the moment, may go to America in the near future. Owner J. Booshand, who lives at Too-woomba, Queensland, has received an offer to take the horse to the United States. All expenses for the horse, himself, trainer P. Hoysted, who as lessee won the Sydney Cup with Carioca, and a jockey, perhaps W. Cook, will be paid. The horse will be permitted to have a couple of races in Booshands colors and then be sold. The factor which possibly will prompt the owner to accept is that Carioca is certain to get 133 pounds in the 1953 Melbourne Cup. Carioca s sire, Felt Yet, died from a twisted bowel last week. It was a great loss to Caricos owner, as the son of Spearfelt had received treat publicity through his son* deeds.
