MAXIMAL, never far off the pace, swung outside entering the stretch, responded to energetic handling and drew out at the end. CHINA COLLEEN improved position gradually, gained racing room along the inside entering the stretch and closed stoutly. TEDLIN, a forward factor from the start, was hemmed in with no place to run until the final sixteenth. CROSS WISE shook off STAR PATCH after a quarter mile, held-sway until the final furlong and weakened. RED DESIGN rushed boldly on the final turn to engage the leaders and faltered. MAGIC OSAGE went evenly. ROCK VINCENT bore in sharply through the stretch. STAR PATCH tired. FOG A. BOLIA trailed most of the trip and broke down badly through the stretch. ANNE BONNY, close to the pace and saving ground throughout, responded willingly when roused, assumed command entering the stretch, drew clear and held on gamely under a drive. BLACK CURRANT drew out into a comfortable lead soon after the start, continued on after losing the lead and was closing on the winner at the end. MYSTIC GOLD walked away from the barrier, swung to tbe outside on the far turn, circled the outside and was going strongest of all at the end. FLIGHTS FANCY weakened after brief speed. LAVERNE, forwardly placed and saving ground, lacked a late rally. BEV G. had no mishap. FIVE STAR lost ground while racing on the outside. The others were outrun. The latter showed good speed along the inside, forced the pace, gaining the lead inside the final furlong, but was not good enough. HIGHWAYMAN, a forward factor, responded willingly under pressure. TAM gained a slight advantage rounding the far turn, held sway until the final furlong and weakened. DELONG NIGHT, close up between horses, lacked a late rally. ALL MY HEART went evenly. PILE DRIVER raced wide on the final turn. TALISMAN INDIO flashed speed for a quarter mile and weakened. The others were outrun. The latter opened a comfortable lead soon fter the start, skirted the rail to protect the lead and just missed. THE SLIP closed with good energy hrcugh the stretch. T0C was roused early to gain on the leader, continued to pursue the pacemaker to the tretch and weakened. SO SURPRISED had no mishap. SUMMER DUCK lacked early speed. OUR GAY showed othing.
