Hollywood Issues Statement On Purse Dispute Situation HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., May 11. — Hollywood Park shortly after noon today issued the following statement: "The following members of the HBPA have entered these horses for the Tuesday, May 12, races: J. K. Houssels, Flashy Ways and Vegas Susy; C. L. Clayton, Madam Whoisit; Zack Addington, Cover Hi bro. of Cover Up ; G. I. Martin, Appropriate and Saruna; Mrs. Max Factor, Jr., Gold Spirit; Mr. and Mrs. Harry James, Big Noise. "As of this moment, 36 entries have been received for the May 12 card. "The board of directors of the Holly- wood Turf Club will meet at 5:00 p. m. No announcement as to any action of Hollywood Park in regard to the repudiation of their agreements by the horsemen will be made until after this meeting. Neither will there be any announcement as to the status of the racing program of May 12. "Bert Thompson, informed Al Connors, jockeys quarters custodian, this morning that if any HBPA members entered horses the jockey boycott would be off. Later when he was informed that six HBPA members had entered horses Thompson said that he meant if "several" HBPA members entered their horses." "There is no truth to a reported ban against certain HBPA officials in the stable area. A stable area control was set up over the week end to keep out anyone except those with horses on the grounds, their employes, officials and the press to prevent possible disorders. With everything quiet today, this was liberally interpreted to permit HBPA officials who do not have horses on the grounds to enter."
