May 22. — Two of the leading candidates for tomorrows Metropolitan Mile demonstrated their fitness in "blowouts" this morning. Greentree Stables Tom Fool, under re- straint, breezed a half in :48V5. Brookfield Farms Intent was sharpened with three furlongs in :35, which he did handily. The only other candidate for the mile handicap to get a final tightener at Belmont Park this morning was Walter S. Homes Raes Reward, who breezed three -eighths in I :37%.
