FUTURAMATIC went to the front at once and, after being headed by QUI HI, again took command when ready to widen in the stretch and win easily. ACE CAPTAIN was a good contender from the start and finished with courage. HOBAD went rather wide in the stretch, but was racing well at the end. FINE FETTLE and RUSH STREET each came strongly near the end to finish in a dead-heat for fourth place. QUIHI tired. LEGATEE began slowly and was never a contender. Scratched— 84816 Royal Stream, 118. HASTY FREEDOMS saved ground where possible in the early running, and finding an opening on the stretch turn, came through to take command and hold HEDGEWOOD. The latter trailed early and was required to go very wide on the stretch turn but finished strongly. W00DSIDE was in close quarters on the inside in the first quarter but saved ground in the stretch. BREZN0 and BY GONE DAYS were used up making the pace. GRAND JUROR was never dangerous, although finishing well. LEESTOWN had speed to the stretch. Leestown claimed by W. H. Bishop.
