GREAT SHUFFLE pursued the leader for a half-mile before assuming command, opened a commanding lead, but had to be hard ridden to stave off the bid of PRINCESS BLY. The latter, taken back off the pace and restrained until the final quarter, then closed stoutly to extend the winner. PROMPT BOY set the pace for a half-mile, remained close up after giving way, but was unable to regain the lead under pressure. D0-D0 weakened. The others were outdistanced. JANTEMBER, steadied until final quarter, saved around while challenging, but was not good enough. MADAME DEFARGE closed ground from off the pace. CUANDEN, a forward factor, rallied mildly when roused. ANDROMEDA had no mishap. EXPECTANT was through after a half mile. The others were outrun.
