To Control Argentina Racing BUENOS AIRES, Argentina, May 22.— President Juan Perons government now proposes to take over horse racing in this country, the betting and the track properties. A bill to nationalize the sport was submitted to the Congress Wednesday. It would transfer racing to the control of the finance ministry with revenue from it devoted to the benefit of charitable and social welfare projects, which the late Evita Peron financed with government funds. The Jockey Club, which operates the capitols two race tracks and keeps the stud book and other official records on the nations thoroughbreds was burned by a mob on April 15, after two bombs had exploded during a speech by the President. The Jockey is a core of high society opposition to Peron. It is estimated that the pari-mutuel betting at the local tracks is ,285,000 weekly. Earlier this week Peron told Argentinas General Congress that his regime would not nationalize private industry, and would turn back to private ownership the industries the government now controls, so far chiefly plants Inanu-I facturing material for the armed forces.
