Polynesian, 45 Preakness Winner, Represented by Two PIMLICO, Baltimore, Mand, May «6.— Unlike last years Preakness field, when four of the starters — One Count, Armageddon, Sub Fleet, and Count Flame —claimed Preakness winners as their sire, tomorrows running will find but two starters with that distinction. They are Native Dancer and Tahitian King, both of whom were sired by Polynesian, winner of the 1945 renewal over Hoop, Jr. Foreign-bred stallions are well represented in tomorrows running as two of the starters are by Royal Gem II., and they represent that stallions first get. They are Dark Star and Royal Bay Gem. They have met three times previously, Dark Star being victorious in the Derby Trial and the Derby and Royal Bay Gem downing his rival in the recent Preakness Prep. The other foreign -bred stallion represented is Khaled, sire of Correspondent. Khaled was bred by the Aga Khan and won five of his eight races in England as a two and three-year-old.
