BOOMER was rated close to ARGYROULA while the latter was making the pace, and easily forging to the front in the stretch, drew away in the last sixteenth. THE PHOENIX improved his position in the run home and was easily best of the others. GRACIOUS HEART closed some ground in the final quarter. ARGYROULA tired badly in the last furlong. LITTLE BOOKHE failed to be a serious contender. ADAPTATION dwelt at the start and off many lengths back of the field, had no chance.
