Victory Aids Recovery MONMOUTH PARK, Oceanport, N. J., June 27. — Victory for Rare Art in Fridays fourth race at Monmouth Park had more than usual significance. It was a "tonic" to owner-trainer R. B. Carroll, who was not even on hand to see the son of Beldine drive through on the rail under Sam Boul-metis to score. The night before the race Carroll was taken ill and rushed to a hospital in Long Branch, N. J., and another trainer tightened the saddle on Rare Art for his engagement. Reports today were that Carrolls condition improved ably when news of the victory reached him.
