SUNNYBROOK SUE gradually worked way forward, responded to punishment during the stretch run and disposed of ASCENT in the last strides. ASCENT took an early lead, entered the stretch with a clear advantage and held on gamely, but was not good enough for the top one, although much the best of the others. GINNY-SANDY lacked early speed, but passed tired horses during the last quarter mile. SHERIFF GROSCH took command early, gave way to TIDY SUM entering the stretch, came again when hard urged during the drive and wore down the latter in the last strides. TIDY SUM, never far back, went to the front at the stretch turn, continued willingly while "racing on the inside of SHERIFF GROSCH during the drive, but could not hold the winner and just missed. TEST PATTERN gave a good effort and had no excuse. HURRY-SKURRY lacked early speed, but closed fast under urging. FLICKER LIGHT raced wide. AWARE could not keep up. RAYS PRIDE was never prominent TED YOCHUM tired after racing forwardly placed to the stretch. KNIGHTS REWARD gave a good effort and had no excuse. ROUND N ROUND was outrun. PUR SANG raced forwardly placed to the stretch, then gave way. SUFFKI was never prominent. The latter, in hand to the stretch, was set down hard during the drive and closed strongly, but could not overtake the winner, just missing. BILLCELLA, a keen factor from the start, went to the front after disposing of LUSTY, but failed to stay when set down through the stretch LITTLE BOBBY tired badly during the drive. LOVELY LOUISE lacked early speed. DOOLY was never dangerous LUSTY set the pace for five-eighths mile, then gave way. -HALS CHICK could not keep up. ARCHIBALDO* had brief speed, but failed to stay and was not persevered with when hopelessy beaten.
