BIMFORT easily went to the front at the ; start, was under strong reserve setting the pace and drew away when ready the drive. FREE STRIDER was strongly restrainecLattempting to bear out on the first turn, raced within striking distance, then was forced out ■ beyond the middle of the course in the stretch, but finished well. RUSTY could not reach BIMFORT under hard urging, but held on fairly well despite being carried wide in the stretch by LAURETTE. The latter, away slowly, raced forwardly on the hedge, was pocketed while looming a threat on the stretch turn, then drifted out badly" and impeded rivals in the drive. T-F0R-MATION was under steady pressure racing vt!th the pace and weakened. FIRST STAR was hard ridden to set the pace and faltered. MRS. MAC lacked a rally. RECONTROL was shuffled back on the first turn. DRY BONES was eased back at the first turn.
