SCOBEYVILLE— New Jersey-bred colt continues to turn in some of the best morn- ing trials recorded over this course and ~ he should have little difficulty handling anything but the best. SETUBAL— Argentine-bred had a poor post position and can not be held responsible for his unimpressive showing in the Longfellow Handicap. He is improving, and should go well in an overnight. MAID OF FLIGHT— Juvenile filly appeared to have needed her debut effort and graduation from the maiden ranks can be anticipated the next time. OUR COOKIE— Gave a sharp effort for his first outing of the year and he will be tough to handle if he remains in ,000-,000 company. PALACE-CIRCLES — Filly has not been very impressive here, but she moves up seyeraL lengths when racing over an "off" track. DELAWARE PARK IRWIN W.— Closed well in final stages of last and should handle ,000 maidens. " SEEBIT — Flattened out after setting the pace last week and may regain winning form when sprinted. HELAYYA — Route-running mare had sprint conditioner recently and needs only suitable conditions for a victory. PROMPTNESS — Capable of victory if astutely placed. Was a good third in last. ALBION — Turned in a fair effort for new trainer and could improve further if steels are again used. NAVY— A speedy sprinter who was up against the best offered at Boston and probably will relish a change in scenery. TOP BRASS— Last was enough endorsement needed to rate this one a chance against cheap platers over a distance of ground. FINE ART— Has been displaying steady improvement and may prove hard to handle in next outing. SHO SHOO BABY— Has been on the grounds for ten days and training well enough suggest an early visit to winners circle. BLAZING — Has been "blazing" the track in morning hours. Looks like a winner at first asking. SHADOWS START— Has been freshened up and recent trials indicate his fitness. THUNDERTOWN— Was taken to the outside throughout his last race. If given a stronger ride, the Littletown gelding may prove to be a winner. BROWN PET— Has been running over her head in last -few races. If placed in a -lower bracket, she may get home first at seven, furlongs. FAUCHELEVENT — Appears to be the best two-year-old on the grounds and should come right back with another victory. GRACE BROWN— Showed a tremendous improvement in her last race and could be working up to a victory. STANLEY— Turned in a poor effort here last time out, but figures to improve greatly in next effort at a half mile. FAIRMOUNT PARK MARY H. — Recent arrival from Kentucky; a very fast filly, won six out of ten starts last year. DONALD SEA— One of the better two-year-olds on the grounds; won a very impressive juvenile race here. Is really sharp at this time. SILVER VALJEAN— Top sprinter, fits in with the better -type, short-distance runners. Always gives an honest .effort. MISS VOODOO— Recent winner over this racing strip; a real nice juvenile. Has plenty of early foot. -STILTON— An impressive, winner here his first out; was shelved for a short time by vet, but now is back in tip-top shape as works show. BARBIE B. — A very fast sprinter, gets away from the gate in good shape; usually sets the pace. Tough with own kind of company. WORTHY — Lots of speed, stays right in there pitching at all times. Is due for a set of brackets. JUNIOR — Prefers the longer routes, has plenty- of stamina and fits in with the better-type distance runners. " WISE. NEEDLE— Superior mudder as a recent race which he won. by 30 lengths shows; can alio turn in a top effort over the dry. Is at best over a route. GREY MIKE— A recent arrival from Chicago. One of the better sprinters; is in capable hands. Should annex a purse soon. CITY NEWS— A maiden that is overdue to graduate r has shown some very impressive races over this oval. Look for an early graduation out of the maiden ranks. TEAPOY — Very consistent sprinter, never turns in a dull effort and is game to the core. RIVER~DOWNS DARBY DAMOUR— Honest 10-year-old gelding who needed first start of season in worst way. Should show marked improvement in next go. HOLD DOR — Has had two good seconds at this meeting while racing against stiff company. Is still a maiden and might drop into -soft field some afternoon. TRUCHON— Another Chilean who galloped right back to morning works. Class remains unsettled, but should be •observed very carefully. CHIEF GENOA — Grand looking son of The Doge — Anita Gem, who left maiden ranks to the tune of 1:00, flat, for five furlongs. Could be a nice two-year-old. GIFT MAEDIC — Brushed momentarily during crucial stage of last route race whilp rallvinc frnm far hanlr TsToirf rono should atone for this impediment. SIR FANAR — Has simply got to win race in near future. Keeps on knocking at the door of non-winners in 1953. YARDTOWN— Showed signs of coming to hand in last River Downs race. This fellow might pay off in a route race some day. ALABAMA BELLE — Wanted no part Nof distance race last outing. Is. a first a-ss sprinter if not knocked out by distance attempt. SQUADS LEFT — This fellow has been amazing with his speed in only two local starts. Needs only bit more stamina to earn purse. JUNIORS HOBBY— Getting stronger with each race. Should return dividends as long as company remains cheap. DIANA ROSSY— Likes this track, and has had two good races over course. Just ready for the hittin right now. OMAHA FRENCH NAVY— Cheap router who always tells you when he is ready. Last race was the tipoff, finished third from far back. EASY DOUGH— Was sewed up on the rail in stretch duel last out. Might have won with room. Ready for best. BIRD FLIGHT— Rough trip in last. Covered enough ground to have changed the outcome if the two who beat her had traveled same path. CHARBOB — Pocketed after the start in last and ran like a wild horse when clear, to finish third. Next time may make amends. FREDA MAY — Was unextended in recent triumph. More where that came from. THISTLE DOG — Another who figures strongly to repeat. Won like a good one in seasonal debut. Could beat most anything with and price tag. GARRYMARK— Now running where he belongs. Distance a trifle short for him last time when he finished a fast-closing second. Should score in same classification. BURG LADY— Walked away from the gate then circle the field to finish in a dead heat in last. Next time at six furlongs or further. MAGIC CITY— Good now, should take another. Has been sprinting but acts like one who can go a route. Will waste no efforts from now on. Next start at any distance. ARAPAHOE — Veteran who is just coming to himself. Moxed too late last time and finished second on the overland. Worthy of another chance. MEDINA COUNTY— Youngster who won in convincing fashion and is dangerous in any company henceforth. CLASSIE LASSIE— Forced to take up sharply in the stretch when making a run for it. Should atone soon with, bet- -ter racing luck.
