HASTY BEE, well ridden, gradually improved position to the stretch, took command when settling for the drive and, drifting to the outside, lasted to hold BULLY BUNTING safe. The latter steadily worked way forward, closed determinedly under punishment, but could not overtake the top one. SIR WALTER R., forced wide entering the stretch, could not reach the leaders when set down in the drive. E-TOWN lacked early speed. CONQUERANT tired after showing early foot. GRANNY D. took command early, set the pace to. the stretch while engaging BROWN SMOKE, but had nothing left for the drive. HOOK UP began slowly. SWEET REWARD was outrun. STAGE LOVER had no excuse. BROWN SMOKE gave way after racing forwardly placed to the stretch and pulled up sore. OLD FRANK failed to stay after showing early speed. SOME FRIEND, alertly ridden, was sent to the outside for the stretch run and, closing fast under brisk urging, disposed of PATRICK WOOD, then held RIDGE RUNNER safe. The latter saved ground from the start, closed determinedly under punishment, but was not good enough for the winner. PATRICK WOOD took an early lead, set the pace to the final furlong while engaging BURGOO PLAY, then faltered. BURGOO PLAY tired during the drive. NORTH PENNANT could not better his position when set down through the stretch. ALPHAS CHOICE was never dangerous and raced wide. B"ETSY MARIE began sluggishly. ARPEGE began fast, but dropped out of serious contention immediately after the start. WILD HEIRESS was through early. STAND OFF showed nothing. FRANKS MAUDE was never far back and closed willingly under urging, but could not reach the top one. SMART EVE gradually worked forward to the stretch and finished determinedly in a good effort. HURRICANE began fast, raced with LEADING MAN to the stretch, then faltered. PAJARA lacked early foot. SO FAIR raced wide. SAUREE could not keep up. EUGENIA raced wide. REDEAL had no excuse. ANN DEL, well placed from the outset, responded to strong handling during the stretch run and, disposing of HARVEST TIME, won going away. The latter took an early lead, set the pace until inside the stretch but could not hold the winner. INSTYLE, never far back, was unable to better his position when set down for the drive. LIEBESKIND drifted to the outside entering the stretch but closed fairly well when straightened for the drive. MR. EDD began fast but steadily lost ground after the break. BOLD BANDIT was through early. ABSOLUTE was never dangerous. INFAITH" raced wide. EARLY BULL began well but failed to stay and had no mishap. MILLI VICTOR showed nothing. The latter, well placed and saving ground to the stretch, finished strongly in the middle of the track, but could not overtake the winner. RUNACROSS took an early lead, made the pace to the last eighth mile, then faltered when challenged by MAIDENS REWARD. EYES IMAGE was unable to better his position when set down through the stretch.
