PLUCKY WILLIE worked his way up along the inside, was taken outside and came between horses to enter contention in the stretch, responded gamely to overtake ROCKET LIGHT in the final yards. The latter assumed command after a quarter mile, increased the advantage when put to pressure but v/as not good enough. BEST CHANCE, close up under stout restraint, was forced to change course on the final turn to prevent crowding and closed willingly when clear. BRANDY PUNCH closed with a belated rush on the outside. CHARM STEP lacked a late rally. PIP PIP saved ground to no avail. MR. F. went evenly. WISE BALLA showed nothing. SHERRY was never prominent. GIFTED BOOTS stopped. BUNDLRAB flashed brief speed. Won driving; second-and third the same. INSOMNIA worked his way up into contention before a half mile, came between horses under stout pressure in the drive and drew clear. BROTHER MARCH, under stout restraint while kept close to the pace along the inside, moved into command entering the stretch, but was not good enough. KENTUCKY HOME, close up while forcing the pace, vied for command, but was not good enough. WOODVALE HILLS drove up along the inside to assume command before a quarter mile, set the pace to the final turn, shortened stride and was dead-heated by BANK DRIVE. The latter rallied mildly in the late stages. BARTHS-BELLE, close up while forcing the pace, was forced to go wide into the stretch and v/as unable to regain position. The others were outrun. WAREHOUSE assumed command under light restraint, was kept along the inside, shook off repeated challenges and was increasing the advantage at the end. LOW SKY broke sluggishly, moved into contention early, rallied to vie for the lead in the drive and hampered the rider by bearing in repeatedly. OLD STANDBY, in closest attendance of the leader, moved on even terms in the stretch and faltered. JOHN POWERS passed tiring horses with a late rush. FUENTE had no mishap. HENRYS DELIGHT rallied from off the pace. LANGFORD moved outside after a half mile, but failed to menace. MISS MIDNIGHT had no mishap. STARRY SKY retired after brief speed. Won driving; second and third the same. COLD JACK moved swiftly along the inside to Join the leaders leaving the backstretch, remained along the rail and was under stout pressure to outfinish DR. HAB. The latter gained command soon after the start, increased his advantage when straightened for the drive and held on stubbornly when challenged and just missed. CABLE JACK, unhurried while allowed to settle into best stride, closed with a belated rush through the stretch. OHOGAN, never far off the pace, held on well while unable to menace. TEDS BULL nad no mishap. DEUCE ADMIRAL weakened after going along with the pace for a half. KAY RUSSELL dropped back soon after the start and was never a serious factor thereafter. BUSY SIGNAL gained a short lead along the inside, was under urging to manitain position, saving ground throughout and held on tenaciously throughout GO GO GO, close up and forcing the pace, rallied to vie for command in the stretch, but was not good enough. MY TRULY FAIR was going stoutly at the end. CUANDEN was not persevered after failing to threaten. TIME FOR SPEED raced close to the leaders for a half mile and retired. FIGHT A LITTLE showed nothing.
