Don McCoy Has Bad Ankle; Doubtful Debonair Starter HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., May 27. — Don McCoy, wire-to-wire winner of the Will Rogers Stakes, is a doubtful starter for the 5,000 Debonair Stakes June 5, trainer H. C. Belk said today. "Big Don" has a wrenched ankle. Belk said the With Regards colt injured his right foreleg during a gallop. "I cant say he wont start in the Debonair but he is very doubtful," Belk said. "I just hope he can come out of it okay and be ready to run later on in the meeting, if he doesnt make the Debonair." On Tuesday, Belk claimed Ze Pippin for ,000 from T. Ross Clark II. for one of his new patrons, H. G. Kolstad. Ze Pippin joins Play Hooky and Sea Dreamer in the .Kolstad contingent. . ji t y;
