Good Call in Lansing Purse Line-Up Determine Tops Correlation In National Money Standings Derby Triumph Vaults Gray i Back to No. I Spot; Gomez, Crevolin, McDaniel Still Lead Andrew J. Crevolins gray galloper, Determine, displaced Robert S. Lytles Correlation in the national leader standings during the past month, but the other top three — Crevolin, Robert H. "Red" McDaniel and Avelino Gomez — retained their lofty positions in the latest statistics compiled by Daily Racing Form. These tabulations cover racing from last January 1 through last Tuesday, May 25. Determine vaulted to the top spot during the period of April 26-May 25 by virtue of his celebrated conquest of Hasty Road and Hasseyampa in the 80th Kentucky Derby at historic Churchill Downs in Louisville, May 1. Determines triumph was worth 02,050, richest Derby capital award in history. It boosted the diminutive son of Alibhais 1954 winnings to 59,800. Correlation, who finished sixth in the Derby, came through with a third-place finish, a victory in the Preakness Trial, then ran second to Hasty Road in the ensuing Preakness to boost his earnings from 55,750 to 16,975 during the past month. Correlation now is runner-up to Determine in_winnings, and has a wide spread over Rejected, who is in third place, with 38,-900, exactly where he was and with identical earnings on April 25. Crevolin increased his money-winning owner standing to a* massive 65,950, mainly by virtue of Determines smashing Derby score. Hasty House Farm, chiefly through the successes of Hasty Road and the queenly Queen Hopeful, moved into second spot among the owners, with 72,-089, displacing King Ranch, how third, with 47,900. Calumet Moves Up Notch, " Calumej; Farm moved up a notch to fourth position, with 09,350, a slim more than the colorbearer of Brookmeade Stable amassed. McDaniel maintained his edge over Willie Molter since the previous tabulation, sending out 11 winners to the latters 10 during the past month. McDaniel now has 66 and Molter 62. Henry Forrest, the Midwest conditioner, moved into third place, with 47, four more than William Hal Bishop, the Illinois leader, and Dave Robertson, who was third one month ago. William Har-tacks riding was the highlight of the month in the saddle ranks, coming through- with 39 winners, to boost his total to 116, seven less than Avelino Gomez total of 123. Gomez rode 21 winners since the previous tabulation. Anthony DeSpirito, third, with 115 wins, rode 29 winners in the past month to keep up his spirited pace.
