Confer on Scarborough Purses SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 27. — Robert A. Verrier, general manager of Scarborough Downs, was here today conferring with C. W. Smith, racing secretary at Scarborough, and Max White, of the HBPAs local chapter, on purse schedules for the forthcoming meeting, which starts July 19. The Maine course will be open to receive horses on July 1.
