Won driving; second and third the same.- CONDAMION badly outrun early, moved up steadily . when called upon to wrest command when the leaders swung wide on entering the stretch and prevail in a sustained drive. ASSIGNMENT, held in reserve to the second turn, moved up between horses and while finishing strongly he was not quite good enough. DIAMOND NED made up some ground but could not seriously threaten. CLAYS CHOICE moved up fast between horses in the run down of the backstretch to wrest a slight advantage on leaving the half-mile ground, commenced to bolt midway round the turn and was disqualiifed and placed fifth for interfering with WABASH MOON. The latter, also had speed, raced on the outside and was eliminated when CLAYS CHOICE carried her to the outside rail on the stretch turn. CHANO was through early. RECEIPT was never a factor. CHUM was sent up fast on the outside tn the run clowfl i the backstretch, wrested command midway retrod the i second turn and in a stiff drive held CHERIBEACON safe. The latter, unhurried for the first half-mile, was eased to the outside for the final drive and finished strongly. CHANSON moved along the inside to make a strong bid on entering the stretch but was not quite good enough. GEM saved ground to no avail. ANDREA L. was outrun. FANELIS ALLEY tired from his early efforts. SUNWYN was always far back. Scratched— 500243 Benzel, 113. Overweight— Gem, 2 pounds. Corrected weight— Fanelis Alley, 113.
