Dozen Distance Runners In Constitution Handicap Door Prize Topweighted at 120 Pounds for Feature at Suffolk SUFFOLK DOWNS* East Boston, Mass., May 31. — A dozen distance-running three-year-olds accepted the weight assignments for the 20th edition of the 0,000 Constitution Handicap, mile feature on Wednesdays program here. The starting lineup will be headed -by Door Prize, a double stakes winner in New England, last year, who will carry the top impost of 120 pounds. This. Lazy F Ranch colorbearer captured the Mayflower and James H. Connors Memorial Stakes in 1954. Aeschylus, coupled with Chicanery as the Doug Small entry, is next in line with 117 pounds and also was a stakes winner during his 1954 campaign. He was successful In the Youthful Stakes at Randall Park, where he sizzled six furlongs in 1:09%. In under 116 pounds is Mrs. Irving Gushens Star Rover, considered the top sophomore campaigner in New England this year. His most recent race was in the Suffolk 21 when he matched strides with the top three-year-old sprinters in the East. In contention for most of the six furlongs, the-gray-coated son of Flushing H. faltered through the stretch and was beaten five "lengths. Previously,- he attempted to race with older horses for the first time in the Paul Revere Handicap and finished second to My Banker, beaten a bit over a length. This will be his first try over a distance of ground. Queensware received the weight assignment of 113 pounds for Wednesdays test although she has not flashed her form of last year in recent starts. In her 1954 campaign she accounted for six purses in 19 starts while-amassing over 9,000. Her most important triumphs as a juvenile were in the Narragansett Nursery and Lincoln Downs Juvenile Stakes.
