ED THE GREAT saved ground next the inner rail while racing in closest pursuit of FULL BROTHER to the stretch, disposed of that one when ready midway of the drive and gradually drew out. FULL BROTHER held sway to the furlong marker under clever rating, faltered when challenged thereafter and was unable to cope with the top one. PRESS raced forwardly placed to the stretch while on the outside, then failed to respond sufficiently when the real test came. PORT WINDSOR was always outrun. HANDSOME TEDDY was unable to keep up.
