PAVOLD, slow to begin, raced on the extreme outside while advancing and wore down the leaders inside the final sixteenth. INDIVIDUATE had speed from the start, wore down STAR COMET when roused on entering the stretch but was unable to withstand the belated bid of the winner. HOPE HE DUS had no apparent excuse in an even effort. STAR COMET tired from his early efforts. COPIER was always far back. BEGIN showed brief early speed. MAMSELLE was never a great distance back, raced on the extreme outside and under pressure and turned back WELLFLEET in a stiff drive. The latter, slow to settled into stride, moved up with a rush when called upon and v/as easily the best of the others. RODMAN was well placed but lacked a closing rally. MOTOR LINE attained a striking position early, moved from teh outside to wear down the leaders with a rush when lightly roused on entering the stretch and drew out with ease. PINE ECHO engaged MISS EUDORABLE early, put that one away after going a quarter mile but could not wthstand the winner. UNCLE MORRIS was unable to gain on the top one when put to a drive. ROYSIE R. saved ground-to no avail. TIN TOP was through early. MISS EUDORABLE showed speed for a quarter mile and faltered.
