WOODY GLEN, unhurried while settling into best stride gained contention entering the stretch and was along in the fianl strides to beat BROOK PRINCE. The latter moved up to vie for the lead into the stretch, gained a short advantage inside the final sixteenth and just missed. BOGIE MAN, a forward factor from the start, challenged the leader before a half mile, was unable to get a clear lead and weakened. TEE SHIRT assumed command along the inside, was kept going despite repeated challenges, then faltered in the late stages. PASS BON lacked speed. DONNAS FOX showed an even effort. FLOWER PICTURE moved along the inside early, failed to get through, was sen.t to the outside on the final turn and closed stoutly but was unable to menace. BEDROSE opened a clear lead before -a half mile, saved ground into the stretch and weakened. PART TIME rallied mildly and too late to threaten. COPY BOOK, steadied close to the pace in the early stages, was forced to lose ground when sent up to vie for command, gained a short advantage inside the final sixteenth and edged ISDELOVELY. The latter assumed command after a quarter mile, saved ground throughout and held on stubbornly in the "drive. LOVELY SHADE lost ground on the turns, finishing stoutly through the stretch. WHITEFOOT LADY had geed speed, remained close up until the final furlong and weakened. FAMOUS GIFT, slow to settle into stride, was unable to menace with a late rally. MISS EQUITY flashed brief speed, was eased out of close quarters on the far turn and failed to recover. BETTER MAID lacked a late rally. The latter, forwardly placed and saving ground, rallied when roused and extended the leader in a sustaineddrive. WARMED OVER broke alertly, dropped off the pace early was roused nearing the final turn and was closing on "the top pair. JUNALUSKA was taken up slightly on the far turn, recovered quickly, challenged in the stretch and then weakened. WAILA finished with a belated rush WHAT SIR was unable to keep up. RACER outran the field to take a clear advantage, set a swift pace, saved ground and held on tenaciously. WEEP AND WAIL went wide down the backstretch, came in on the final turn, rallied mildly but I was not good enough WONDROUS HOUR broke slowly, rushed up to within striking distance of the leader, then weakened. AMORET was sent up along the inside to extend the leaders midway on the final turn, took back as MIZ CLEMENTINE moved up, regained a forward position when straightened, then gave way to ROYAL FAN. PROMPT IMPULSE showed good speed to dominate the pace to the final turn and weakened. HERRO MOM was between horses close to the early pace, then lacked a closing rally. The latter, in hand and saving ground, rallied mildly when set down. BRASS RING, reserved off the pace for six furlongs, moved with a rush along the inside to gain contention and then faltered. MOUNTAIN HOLLY went up between horses nearing the far turn, was taken back, then failed to regain lost ground. BISCAYNE BAY was used up forcing the pace. DUAL STREAK v/as through after a half mile.
