PICARENO, away sluggishly, was hustled to reach serious contention, entered the stretch" with a good lead but was ridden out to increase the advantage. ZERO POINT, well placed from the outset, responded readily during the drive but could not threaten the winner, although much the best of the others. SYRIAN GIRL began fast, raced with PICARENO to the stretch, then weakened. TARAS ROSE could not threaten the leaders and had no mishap. ETERNAL PAL gave a fair effort. NEVADA FLASH disliked the sloppy track. BELBOOTS had brief speed. RED GLOVE could not keep up. DEVIL SEVEN broke slowly. AVE took command early, made the pace until inside the. stretch, then faltered when challenged by DEPTH ROCKET, MISS TIDWELL began slowly and raced wide. STAR MARQUE tired on the sloppy track. NOWADAY GIRL lacked early foot but finished determinedly when sent up on the inside during the drive. GALIKIST began sluggishly, made a mild bid in the early stretch, then faltered.
