Clichy Beaten Neck Margin By Bewitched 1 1 1, at Longchamp Special to Daily Racing Form PARIS, France, May 7 Reuters— Ralph Beaver Strassburgers Clichy was beaten only a neck Sunday in the Prix du Cadran, a two and one-half mile race at Long-champ which is regarded as a French test for Englands Ascot Gold Cup. Clichy, ridden by Guy Chancelier, just failed to get the better of Bewitched m., owned by C. Del Duca and ridden by Jean Massard. Polar was third and Borghetto, fourth. Marcel Boussacs Elpenor, starting favorite, made the early running but weakened entering the final straightaway. Bewitched IH., Clichy, Borghetto and Elpenor all are entered for the Ascot race to be run over the same distance on June 21.
