FEAR, never far back, rallied from between horses while racing wide on entering the stretch, and wore down the leaders nearing the last furlong. DARUBINI, slow to begin, moved up with a rush on the outside leaving the backstretch, attempted to bolt on entering the stretch and, when straightened away, he finished with good courage. THE COLLIER broke with his field but very greejilyr was rush up on the outside thereafter to engage GELIO three furlongs out, put that one away while lugging in midway round the turn, and then had little left when the real test came. THE COLLIER was disqualified for interfering with GELIO at the five-sixteenths pole and placed fourth. GELIO had speed, was forced to steady when placed in close quarters midway round the turn, and when clear lacked a closing rally. TIC-A-LOC raced wide throughout. EASY SMILE was through early.
