Gov. Anderson Will Be Guest at Fonner Park Ten Go in Feature Named for Chief Executive of State By DEAN WILLIAMS FONNER PARK, Grand Island, Nebr., May 7. — Victor E. Anderson, governor of Nebraska, will be guest of honor at Fonner Park Tuesday afternoon. Governor Anderson will be in the governors box. during the afternoon and will view the running of the six and one-half furlongs Governors Purse. The 10 horses going to the post in the Governors Purse are Al Cascios Unceasing, Alvin Joys Caldwell, Glenn Murphys Burst, Phil Robinsons Pads Time, John Winters Isaprince, Fleischers and Vores Buckwheat, P. E. Graves Pride of Judea, Dean Mosers Pat-a-Way and T. B. and N. A. Wilcox entry of Red Randy and Owl Martin. Caldwell will make his first start at the local course after arriving here from Hot Springs where he won against about the same kind of company he will be asked to go against Tuesday. He has been a very "good horse in his prime and is always difficult to beat. Pads Time and Pride of Judea have been impressive in their starts at. Fonner Park this year and must be considered. Pads Time won his first start, but was unable to do better than fourth going over five and one-half furlongs in his next- out. Pride of Judea was third to Mephistopheles and Reno John in his first out at this track. Both are at home over an "off" track and that is what the local weatherman predicts for Tuesday.
