-— • Nasrina in Handy Work for Acorn s. Sent Seven Furlongs Route In l:262/5; Oh Johnny Gets Easy Breeze for Withers BELMONT PARK, L. I., N. Y., May 7.— Howell E. Jacksons good filly, Nasrina, indicated that she is about ready to resume her successful career when she stepped a handy seven furlongs in 1:26% here Sunday morning. The winner of The Gardenia and Frizette Stakes last fall is pointing for the Acorn Stakes, one mile at Belmont Park a week from Saturday, but is likely to be seen in a seven-furlong event here next Monday. She skipped the fractions in -ASVs, 1:00% and 1:13 Vs Sunday morning on the fast track. Mrs. Wallace Gilroys useful three-year-old, Oh Johnny, breezed an easy mile in 1:43 Sunday morning, not being asked for any real speed. Yorkie McLeods charge, who won the Fountain of Youth Handicap at Gulf stream Park and two earlier races, is eligible to Saturdays Withers at the same distance of a mile and a sixteenth at Jamaica. Also on Sunday morning, .Greentree Stables Duck Heaven, who seems the most advanced of that stables juveniles who have not yet started, went a handy half in :48%. The chestnut son of Shut Out from Paddleduck will probably be seen under silks early in the Belmont Park meeting, along with several other of John Gavers young charges. Greentrees Thin Ice, a juvenile son of Abernant, appeared to tire a bit at the end of five furlongs in 1:01%. Dark Music Goes Six Furlongs Dark Music, recently purchased by Pin Oak Farm, went six furlongs in 1:15%, handily, Sunday morning and seems to be nearing top form. The four-year-old daughter of Nirgal has been away from the races since last July and was unable to win for Rokeby Stable last year. The track was sloppy this morning and few "name" horses were on the strip other than to gallop. John Barry Ryans useful Tulchan seemed to enjoy the soupy footing on the main track as he sped five furlongs in a minute flat. Francois Bellhouse sent F. Ambrose Clarks Acefull and Vespucci the same distance in 1:02, which they accomplished handily. Mrs. John W. Galbreaths Summer Tan was given his regular .drill this morning, despite the sloppy strip, stepping a half in :50Vs, just breezing. Greentree Stables Maharajah, who is attempting a comeback after a long absence, went an easy mile in 1:43%. The gray horse wasnt extended in his good move. Over on the training track this morning, Alfred G. Vanderbilts handicap star, Social Outcast, went a handy three furlongs in :38%. "Old Sosh" shows no sign of his recent minor injury. Sunday morning, Mrs. Joe Goodwins "consistent Oil Painting showed improved speed as she zipped a half in :49% on the deep training track. There is a race for her at Belmont on May 18 for which she should be ready.
