Ferro Driving Winner Of Feature at Lincoln Persistent Urging by Adams Beats Acepot; Amyn Bey Thirc By FRED GALIANI LINCOLN DOWNS, Lincoln, R. I., May 7. — Ferro, a recent claim by Bill Rodgers, helped contribute to his purchase price with a driving victory in the featured Walter W. Ross Purse here today. Under Larry Adams hard urging, the K Stable gelding got to the finish a half length over White Fence Stables Acepot. J. P. Cavals Amyn Bey, who threaded his way between the entire field to come from last place and enter contention, was putgamed in the drive and finished a neck back in third place. Peter Fullers favored Activate finished fifth in the field of seven. Ferro paid 7 to his backers in the crowd of 10,048. The time for the seven furlongs over a fast track was 1:27. Adams had finished second three straight times in previous races and finally came through in the feature.
