ROCKCASTLE, unhurried while saving ground, J continued t. to find room along the inner rail when put to pressure on the final turn, found room along the inside into the stretch to asume command shortly after leaving the eighth pole, then extenaed the lead thereafter PARK DANDY moved from the outside with MOTOR LINE leaving the far turn, gained a slight advantage in the early stretch and, while no match for the the winner, outfinished MOTOR LINE. The latter steadied early along the inside, rushed through close quarters going to the far turn to assume command, drifted out into the stretch and kept to continual whip punishment and could not keep up in the final eighth. CHEROKEE CHIEF gave ground gradually. FRESH AND FAIR tired after a half mile and drifted cut steadily thereafter.- Overweight Cherokee Chief, 1 pound. NINTH RACE 1 JvllLE AND 70 YARDS. NOW HEAR THIS saved ground behind the leaders, came between horses in the stretch run and, with a last surge, gained the decision. FAT BOY shook off the early challenges from MOST CHARMING, and holding the lead until the final yards, just failed to last. MOST CHARMING forced the pace, and holding on with good courage, was not quite good enough. MAXS REWARD moved from the outside into the stretch to loom dangerous, started to lug in and could not be fully persevered with in the late yards. The webbing broke on the right stirrup of FAMILIAR shortly after the start. Jockey Adams was hanging on while racing wide into the first turn and backstretch, and he finally bailed out shortly after a half mile. Overweight Another Moon, 2 pounds. TENTH RACE 1 1-8 MILES.
