Bold Ruler Top 1957 Money Winner Earns 57,775 Since January 1 Calumet Increases Total to 59,365; Ycaza Draws Out In Leading Jockeys Race By Staff Correspondent Bold Ruler, sterling three-year-old from Mrs. Henry Carnegie Phipps Wheatley stable, has taken the lead among the 1957 money-winning horses. Statistics compiled by Daily Racing Form give the Nasrullah : colt 57,775, which places him ahead of Bardstown, from Mrs. Gene Markeys Calumet Farm and who has earned 29,035 since the turn of the year. Calumets Iron i Liege, the Kentucky Derby and Jersey Stakes winner, is now third among the ; seasons money gleaners with 21,175. Corn Husker, from Mrs. Richard Lunns ; Llangollen Farm, dropped back to fourth place and has 09,000 to his credit. Although one of its horses lost leader-" ship to Bold Ruler, Calumet kept on adding to its total among the money-winning stables this season. Through the racing of April 27, the Markey establishment had won 59,356, adding 13,020 to its total since the previous tabulation. Llangollen, with Social Climber showing the way through his victory in the 00,000 added Californian, remains in second place with 15,820, followed by Wheatley with 29,-935. Ycaza Pilots 172 Winners i Manuel Ycaza is riding at a sensational pace in Mexico City and booted home 41 j winners since the previous tabulation on April 29. Ycaza now has 172 winners outof 455 mounts for the sensational figure of 38 per cent winners. William Hartack, national champion the past two years, is second with 129 followed by William Shoemaker with 108. Eddie Arcaro is fourth with 97 and Howard Grant fifth with 92. John Ralph Adams, son of the veteran reinsman, who rides on the Midwest circuit, came through with 26 winners and now has 82 to give him sixth place. Vester R "Tennessee" Wright drew away from his rivals in the trainers standings, sending out 19 more winners for a total of 58. William Molter, who is now idle by reason of a suspension, has 43, while Frank H. Merrill Jr and William Rodgers are tied for third with 40 apiece. Merrill is campaigning on the Canadian circuit, while Rodgers is in New England and saddled 33 winners at the recent Lincoln Downs meeting.
