Three-Year-Olds Meet In Beulah Sprint Test Romany Chal, Misty Red, Steppin Night and Protocall Go to Post By A. L. SHIELDS BEULAH PARK, Grove City, Ohio, May 30 Three-year-olds will compete in the featured Marzetti Restaurant Purse here Friday, the semi-final day of the 19-oay spring season. A band of nine will mateh strides over the six-furlong UMe under -allowance condition for the purse of ,300. The Dunker and Rainey interests will be represented by Promenade and Bertha May in the headliner. It is doubtful if this pair will be favored, however. George McFarlands Romany Chal, M. K. Essigs Misty Red, Bottom Bucket Stables Protocall and the Char-Mar Farms Steppin Night are expected to be top contenders for the role of favorite in the Marzetti. , Rounding out the field are A. L. Leg-getts Press Time, the Grey and Bryce partnerships Mothers Pride and N. J. Giar-danos Miss Berea, and any of these three is capable of upsetting the calculations. A diversified program has been arranged by racing secretary O. E. Pons for the second-to-last day. Three races will be at one mile and 70 yards, four at six furlongs and one at five furlongs. Non-winning sophomores will clasn m the opener while the fourth is for three-and four-year-olds. Five races are for four-year-olds and older horses. As the huge holiday crowd assembled to enjoy todays nine-race card, the .chatter centered on the feat of jockey Bobby Wall here Tuesday. Wall rode four winners on the program of eight events, the first time any reinsman has piloted more than three winners on one day here since the meeting opened May 11. Walls winners were Busy Jane, Gayleo, Wild Honey and Jaconet.
