, 1 ; r , Delaware to Renew t Kent on Saturday Excellent Field Shaping Up For 5,000 Three-Year-Old ! Offering at Mile, Sixteenth I By PALMER HEAGERTY DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., May 1 30. The 5,000 added Kent Stakes, first of two important local events for members of the three-year-old division, features Saturdays program, to be followed in one week by the 5,000 added Leonard Richards Stakes. With Calumet Farms Iron Liege and Gen. Duke on the shelf, sizable fields shape up for the first of these events. Contested at a mile and one-sixteenth, the Kent has been won in previous years by such prominent thoroughbreds as "Andy K., Lochinvar, Natchez, Wine List, Your Host, and Kingmaker. This seasons renewal, which will be the 19th, has attracted a total of 63 nominations. Already on the grounds and awaiting the call postward are: Howell E. Jacksons Four Fathoms, Glenelg Stables Assemblyman, Joe W. Browns Tenacious, Rbslyn Farms Inswept, Mrs. Walter M. Jeffox-ds Bakht, Brandywine Stables Cannon Fire and Cary C. Boshamers Gama. Barbizon Expected to Start Other anticipated starters include CalUr mets Barbizon, currently at Garden State; Brookmeade Stables Oligarchy, John S. Kellys Wassail and We Trust, Mrs. Adele L. Rands Clem and possibly others who have not as yet been heard from regarding their status. Four of the probables Four Fathoms, Assemblyman, Gama and Bakht were trained during the morning hours today, each accomplishing just about what was asked of them by their respective handlers. Gama was sent seven furlongs by Ned Gaines, breezing the distance in 1:30, which was the identical time credited to Assemblyman, the colt sent Tiere by J. P. "Sammy" Smith. Four Fathoms was especially impressive with five furlongs in 1:00. His fractions included a quarter in :23 and a half in :48. The Chesapeake Trial winner was recently sent a mile and a sixteenth at Jamaica and came through with a good effort while finishing second. Oscar White sent Bakht six furlongs and the Count Fleet Ace Card colt moved along in 1:14. Probable favorite in the race is Clem, a colt who displayed a splendid effort to finish second behind Iron Liege in the Jersey Stakes at Garden State last Saturday.
