CANONIZE was an alert factor and -wore down ITS AN IMPULSE under steady urging. The latter was hustled to take command after settling into stritle, raced well into the final furlong and then tired. HIS PROOF cpuld not stay with the pace after an alert beginning, found ample room between horses entering the stretch and finished well. BRIGHT MIKE raced on the outside and finished well. THESPIS was energetically ridden in closest pursuit of TESTING JET, wrested command on the stretch turn and established a commanding lead, but was tiring at the end. DEACK DUNCAN raced on the outside steadily making up ground and finished well. CLIFFS ODOVER, under light urging to be within striking distance, early, was carried to the middle of the track by BEAU DAUMIER on the final turn," then closed determinedly when clear of that rival in a good effort. PRQUD .ERRARD saved ground. TESTING JET set a fast pace into the stretch and faltered. BEAU DAUMIER was racing forwardly when he bolted on the-turn, losing all chance. WAR TUNE began fastest but could not keep up and was outrun to the stretch, then closed willingly down the outside and quickly disposed of CANDLE WOOD near the end. The latter brushed MISS EQUITY, easily taking command at the head of the stretch, appeared safely in front, but was no match for the winner at the end. OLD ROMAN bested tiring horses. MISS EQUITY appeared going easily in front, but stopped abruptly when challenged and brushed by CANDLE WOOD. MRS MARK broke slowly and lost ground on the outside. NOBLE SONG was done early. CHIMNEY improved his position on the backstretch, made a strong move around horses on the turn to reach the lead and staved off SINN FEINER. The latter, unable to keep up early, closed powerfully on the outside through the final three-sixteenths and might have gotten up but for attempting to lug in. The latter prompted the early pace, moved to the front leaving the backstretch and could not withstand the winner. SICKLE-S. SOUND ran into a blind switch rallying next to the rail on fhe final turn, had .to be steadied into the stretch, then came to the outside and finished fastest of all. POWDER CAP, pinched back going to the first turn, found ample room racing to the front and did not have enough left. RADIATOR weakened. SAILORS RETURN raced on the outside. PURSUER had no excuse.
