Two American-Owned Horses Eye Canadian Championship TORONTO, Can., June 25. — Two American-owned horses, including the winner of the 1955 Canadian Championship Stakes, have been -nominated for the 5,000 Dominion Day Handicap at the new "Woodbine race track Monday, July 1. Park Dandy, owned by W. J. Beattie of Pawtucket, R. I., will be making his first Canadian appearance since winning: the Championship two years ago. The other U. S. entry is Mrs. Irving: Gushens Star Rover. Another New England campaigner, Star Rover had his best year in 1955, winning close to S100.000. .
