Senate Moves Homebred Bill Ahead for Consideration SPRINGFIELD, 111., June 25.— The Senate Monday pushed ahead the Illinois homebred bill which would provide a fund to provide purses for races for Illinois-bred thoroughbreds. The measure passed the House last week. A companion bill, which explicitly gives the Illinois Racing Board authority to act in certain instances, also was advanced on the calendar. Both bills will -come up for a vote in the Senate later this week. Legislative leaders hope to adjourn the session by the end of this month.
