NEMESIA forced the early pace while in hand, moved to the pacemaker while under pressure rounding the final turn to wear that one down momentarily entering the last furlong but had little .left when the real test came. QUEENS STORY found her best stride too late. AL LAUBHAN had no apparent excuse in an even effort. PLAY RON was through early. APPEASE NOT was always outrun. Overweight— Bad Margie, 1 pound. WHIZ was forwardly placed from the outset but faltered when set down for the final drive TUNASMAN saved ground to no avail. RUFUS THE RED was used up in vying for the early lead.
