PAVION moved easily to FRALUXE before entering the stretch but had to be put to strong pressure to outfinish* that rival. FRALUX opened up a clear lead from the start, set the pace under rating, appeared well beaten when challenged by the1 winner but held on with good courage the remainder of the trip. JACK KENNY made up some ground late without threatening the top pair. BOKEER dropped back along the inside to the far turn, then, coming to the inside of the leaders in the stretch, loomed a threat only to falter under pressure. GOLDEN FIDDLE weakened after a half mile. LOVELY DICE had no response when put to pressure. Overweight— Bokeer, 2 pounds. Pavion claimed by F. H. Stout, trainer H. O. Livingston.
